Take some time to read this short article which analyzes recruiter decision-making behaviors as it relates to your resume.  They only take 6 seconds to browse the most pertinent info such as current and most past position as well as education.  Two examples of resumes (formats are different) are included with heat tracking of eye movement which is a powerful visual for those constructing or reconstructing their resumes.

  1. I’m contemplating to change my resume to be more of an infographic. It’s already to “hot” way for resumes to be shown by designers/web folk and it’s only a matter of time until they are used for professional administrative positions.

    • Here is a great site with tips on how to create an infographic resume: You may also want to speak to others in your field to gather examples and to also have an updated version of a more traditional resume on hand in case you need to provide an employer with one of those as well. I think it is a great way to think about and present who you are and what you have to offer to an employer. I’d love to see what yours looks like if you choose to complete one when you are done. On Pinterest, under my anadventureworthtelling board, I have posted several infographic resume examples as well.
